EYEFLY 360 - Virtual 360 Tours

FAQs

Will the virtual tours work on iPhone or iPad?

Yes, we have developed a special technique which allows VT’s to be displayed on these devices!

Where can virtual tours be viewed?

There are different computer platforms and mobile technologies but not all can view the same files. Fortunately, we are able to provide different formats of the same tour. Final format decision will be discussed at the specification time.

What are the minimum numbers of virtual tours I can commission you for?

Quite simply one! No job is too small and we have yet to find one that is too large!

Do virtual tours cost more than still shot photography?

Not necessarily. Shooting a series of images can sometimes be less time consuming especially as EYEFLY360 has some very specialised up to date equipment to speed up the photography. Any time savings are passed on to you, the customer.

Your prices seem very reasonable – how is this possible?

As explained, we have very special equipment which automates much of the photography taking process and these time savings are passed on to you – the customer.

Will weather condition affect the photography?

If we are shooting outside, the weather can sometimes impact – especially for high level work where winds make it impossible to elevate masts or fly. Fortunately, weather forecasts are readily available to inform us of conditions. We also find out if there are any specific environments, such as only in sunlight, you wish us to photograph. We also mention here that as part of our tools, we are able to calculate sunlight direction and elevation for best shadowing decisions.

What happens if the weather stops you shooting?

Checking weather conditions is our responsibility and if suitable. If we go on location and find out that conditions are too severe, there is no revisit charge.

How soon can you deliver?

As soon as the photography is complete, it takes a very short processing time to create a virtual tour. Inclusion of skins and other features embedded in the tours can add to the time depending on the amount of functionality required.

How large are the virtual tour file sizes?

Tours are made up of many images. The individual images are normally large size so they can be zoomed into. When these images are combined, they make up one large file running into many megabytes – a typical example being around 50Mb. These files are usually hosted at the customer site, but systems and services are available where they can be hosted elsewhere.

What guarantees do you provide?

We guarantee that you will be pleased with the results.

Who owns the copyright to the images and virtual tours?

EYEFLY owns the copyright and licences out the images and virtual tours unless otherwise agreed in writing with the customer.

Can virtual tours be expanded at a later stage to include more features?

Yes. We can provide basic tours without skins or walkthrough hot spots for example. If later you decide to build on or modify an existing virtual tour we can add skins and features at any stage at any time, even after publication.

What is a Hot Spot?

A Hot Spot is a placement in a preset area on the tour. For example, a doorway in a room which when selected will lead into a virtual tour of another room, or play an audio file. You can have as many hotspots as you wish and these can be a very effective way of creating multimedia tours.

What happens to the source images?

EYEFLY360 retains all the original source images unless otherwise requested and agreed in writing.

Who is responsible for security backups?

Whoever retains the source images should make security backups.

Are there any security issues relating to virtual tours?

Virtual tours by their nature contain a significant amount of information. We photograph at source and these can potentially include sensitive images such as number plates, faces, objects of value. We would request that you identify and inform us of any imagery you want blanked or blurred out but we understand on occasion that things can be easily missed. As long as we hold the source images, the virtual tours can be modified even after publication.

Do you offer any other services such as web design?

Yes, we can offer web designs, multimedia and hosting services. Just tell us what need.
